Despite the Spring-like weather this past weekend, it's known that Winter usually still has a "say" in March weather.  The Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild will perform a three-comedy medley of plays entitled A Winter Escape on March 17, 18 and 19, 2017.

The comedies, The Great Nursing Home Escape by Nathan Hartswick, The Best Escape by Carolyn West, and Marriage After Death by Roy C. Booth and Abbey Ferrier, all have an "escape" theme.

The performances are March 17 and 18 at 7 pm and March 19 at 2 pm at Park Hall, 307 Polk St. in Sauk City.  Park Hall is handicapped accessible.

Tickets in advance are $6 for seniors/students, $8 for adults. Tickets at the door are $8 for seniors/students, $10 for adults.  Tickets may be purchased at River Arts on Water, 590 Water St, Prairie du Sac (643-5215) or by calling 963-8451. Tickets will not be sold on-line.

Paul's Chocolates will be offering samples and sales of their chocolates before, during intermission and after the performances.

The director of the plays is Louann Rinken. Cast members are Abby Ries, David Roberts, Jeni Hanko, Isis Blumer, Jelsim Garcia-Bautista, Leah Rausch, Branson Krueger,  and Alexis Blumer.

The Story of the Nutcracker- A Play with Dance by Michele L. Vacca will be performed at the River Arts Center December 2 and 3.  Produced by the Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild, Jeni Hanko is the director and Louann Rinken and Mike Irwin are assistant directors. 

This play with dance is a unique, one of a kind dramatization of the "Tales of Hoffmann," the Dumas children’s story, and the Tchaikovsky ballet scenario.  Over 45 actors-dancers will perform on December 2 at 7:30pm and December 3 at 1 pm and 7:30 pm.
